*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has offered Afghanistan to work towards devising aBilateral Engagement Strategy on media cooperation today (Thursday) inefforts to bridge mutual trust deficit.*
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting DrFirdous Ashiq Awan said on the occasion: “Regular media exchanges betweenPakistan and Afghanistan can help dispel negative perception about eachother for a more productive relationship.
The Minister was involved in the high-level meeting that took place earlierin the day between The Prime Minister Imran Khan and visiting AfghanPresident Ashraf Ghani at the PM House.
The SAPM said Pakistan would be pleased to share its entertainment and filmmaterial, dubbed into Pashto and Darri languages with Afghanistan so thatthe locals could understand them better.
The Minister expressed great intent towards the implementation of the ideawhich was seriously deliberated upon by the Afghan President.
In a one-on-one meeting beforehand, Prime Minister Imran Khan andAfghanistan President Ashraf Ghani deliberated on the regional situation ofsecurity and peace.
The Afghan president arrived in Pakistan earlier today for a two-day visiton the invitation of Prime Minister Khan.
