ISLAMABAD – Everyone should take responsibility to make economic effortstowards prosperity successful, said Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwawhile addressing a seminar
Director General, Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted on social media thatthe COAS said that the nation is going through a difficult economicsituation and there cannot be any prosperity in the absence of economicsovereignty. He further said that there is a strong link between economyand security and both complement each other.
The COAS was addressing a national seminar on “Pakistan’s Economy:Challenges and Way forward” organized by Institute of Strategic Studies,Research and Analysis (ISSRA) at National Defence University (NDU).
“We all need to fulfill our responsibilities so that difficult initiativestaken by government succeed. It’s time to be a nation”, tweeted DG ISPRciting the army chief.
He acknowledged that Pakistan is going through a difficult situation due tofiscal mismanagement and stressed that government and various stockholdersneed to play and important role for economic stability in country.

Chief of the Army staff thanked NDU for organizing the seminar and paneland attendees for their participation, said the ISPR adding further that alarge number economy experts, think tanks and representatives of businesscommunity attended the seminar.
