NEW DELHI – India gets a blow from US as India US top level strategicdialogues were cancelled for the second time
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley says a top-levelstrategic dialogue with India will take place as soon as possible, afterWashington put off the meeting for a second time in months.
She was talking to a foreign news agency today during her visit to NewDelhi.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis weredue to hold joint talks with their Indian counterparts in Washington on 6thof next month but the United States postponed it last night.
The talks were expected to cover the issues of U.S. sanctions againstRussia and Iran, arms sales and trade.
