FAISALABAD: A man has been accused of repeatedly raping her 15-year-olddaughter for the last seven months in Faisalabad’s Chak Jhumra area,reported a private media outlet.
According to reports, the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the policestation in which she stated that she works as a maid in the area, while herhusband works as a labourer at a factory.
She alleged that her husband had sexually abusing their daughter for thelast seven months while she was alone at the house. The woman stated in hercomplaint that as a result of the repeated rape, her daughter had becomepregnant.
She said that the accused has also threatened their daughter of direconsequences if she told about the ordeal to anyone.
The victim’s mother said that when the news spread in the village, thevillagers took the matter to panchayat. She said the panchayat membersvisited her home and asked her to keep the matter secret as it could bringbad name to the family.
She said that the panchayat also pressurised her to not take action againsther accused husband.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR under sections 376, 506 and176 against the accused and started investigation.
