ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Monday while rejecting protest Indian protestagainst Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018 summoned Indian Deputy HighCommissioner JP Singh and recorded a strong protest.
In a statement issued by the foreign office, Director General South Asiaand Dr Muhammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P Singhin Islamabad and registered Pakistan s categorical rejection of the Indianstatement on the Gilgit Baltistan Order 2018 and its baseless, fallaciousclaim over the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A written demarche to this effect was also handed over to him.
The FO said that Kashmir Valley is a disputed area which should be resolvedaccording to the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The demarche furtehr stated that instead of protesting India should quitthe occupation of Kashmir valley.
