*ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan hasbeen deferred and it is likely that he would be visiting Pakistan now inthird quarter of this year.*
It is third deferment of the visit as Prime Minister Imran Khan visitedTurkey in the first week of January this year and invited Turkish Presidentfor visiting Pakistan. The invitation was accepted by him.
Former State Minster for Interior Sheharyar Khan Afridi in his stay inIstanbul in February last announced that Tayyip Erdogan will visit Pakistanin March but it couldn’t materialise.
Pakistan has to host Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic CooperationCouncil (HLSCC) meeting supposed to be held early this year in Islamabadwhere some significant projects and plans were to be approved.
The Turkish President had announced that he would bring a big delegationof investors with him in his visit to Pakistan.
Turkish President has not given any fresh schedule for his trip to Pakistanalthough the two capitals are trying very hard to workout dates and detailsof the visit through diplomatic channels.
