RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor has broken the silence over much quoted and spoken”Bajwa Doctrine”.
He said the Bajwa doctrine (credited to Army Chief General Qamar JavedBajwa) is just aimed at making Pakistan a peaceful country.
Though, the Bajwa doctrine has nothing to do with the 18th Constitutionalamendment, he said while responding to a query at a presser today.
The DG ISPR said Pakistan’s constructive role globally helped the UnitedStates become the sole super power of the world. The military’sspokesperson said Trump’s turbulent tweet [against Pakistan] on January 1affected the regional politics. “The region is moving from geo-politics togeo-economy which everyone needs to understand.”
DG ISPR said India should be thankful to Pakistan for its role of bufferand cooperation with world powers for fighting war against militantslink>.
Maj. Gen. Ghafoor reiterated that Pakistan’s persistent efforts for peaceshould not be misconstrued as its weakness. He said if India continues tosee CPEC with political lens, it will affect countries which are due to getbenefits from the Pak-China corridor project. We have to take relativestability to enduring stability in the current economic condition, he added.
He said India committed 398 ceasefire violations along the border. He saidthe Indian aggression along Working Boundary and LoC was uncalled-for.
