Pakistan helped America in becoming the sole global super power: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor has said Pakistan’s constructive role globally helpedthe United States become the sole super power.

Addressing a press briefing this evening, the military’s spokesperson saidTrump’s turbulent tweet [against Pakistan] on January 1 affected theregional politics. “The region is moving from geo-politics to geo-economywhich everyone needs to understand.”

DG ISPR said India should be thankful to Pakistan for its role of bufferand cooperation with world powers for fighting War against militants.

He said if India continues to see CPEC with political lens, it will affectcountries which are due to get benefits from the Pak-China corridorproject. We have to take relative stability to enduring stability in thecurrent economic condition, he added.

He said India committed 398 ceasefire violations along the border. He saidthe Indian aggression along Working Boundary and LoC was uncalled-for.

He said after COAS visit, Pakistan and Iran’s border cooperation hasimproved. The upsides of the army chief’s visit have begun to reflect now,he added.

He said our forces have been training Saudi forces since 1982 bilateralsecurity agreement. “Our new batch of forces has not yet left for SaudiArabia, but once an understanding reaches in this regard our forces willdepart for the Kingdom.”
