Singapore businessmen vow to make big investment in diverse sectors in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Finance Minister, Asad Umar says the government is facilitatingboth domestic and foreign investors with various incentives, includingrationalization of tax regime.

Talking to visiting Singapore business delegation in Islamabad on Thursday,he said more such steps were envisaged in the budget 2019-20.

He said Pakistan held Singapore in high esteem and welcomed its businessmento invest in different sectors.

Asad Umar assured the delegation of all out support and facilitation by thegovernment.

Leader of the delegation, Shamsher Zaman who is Chairman of Middle EastBusiness Group said Singaporean businessmen are encouraged to invest inPakistan seeing the resolve and eagerness of the government to facilitateforeign investors.

The delegation expressed keen interest to invest in infrastructure,healthcare, airports and ports management and other sectors.

The delegation was also apprised of investment opportunities in differentspecial economic zones across the country.
