Pakistan to devise new foreign policy on NSC recommendations

ISLAMABAD – The Foreign Office Spokesman on Wednesday said that a newforeign policy would be devised as per recommendations from NationalSecurity Committee aimed at strengthening the relationship with regionalcountries.

Addressing weekly briefing at Foreign Office, Dr Faisal said that althoughPakistan has come into the grey list of FATF but there are no chances ofcoming on to the blacklist of FATF.

“All matters relating to FATF are performed by the finance ministry and FOcould not comment on the issue,” he said.

He said that military activities in Afghanistan could not find a peacefulsolution of the issue and it could only be resolved through bilateral talksamong Afghan groups.He said that the FO would implement on the supremecourt orders on the issue of Hussain Haqqani and provide best possibleassistance in this regard.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said on Wednesday that‘shamocracy’, and not ‘democracy’, is what prevails in India.

Addressing his weekly press briefing, the FO spokesperson said India’s banon Pakistani artists reflects the country’s sick mentality.He added thatIndia’s extremist policies have made culture hostage.

Talking about Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir as well as attacksacross the Line of Control (LoC), Dr Faisal called on the internationalcommunity to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.

He also narrated the recent summoning of the Indian deputy highcommissioner over LoC violations, saying that India has violated the 2003ceasefire agreement 400 times this year alone in cross-border firingincidents across the LoC and Working Boundary.
