TEHRAN – China and Russia Navies arrive in Indian Ocean for joint navaldrills along with leading Islamic country.
China, Iran, Russia began a four-day joint maritime exercise in IndianOcean and Sea of Oman area on Friday.
The drills will cover 17,000 square kilometers and consist of varioustactical exercises such as target practicing and rescuing ships fromassault and incidents such as fires.
The objectives of this exercise are improving security of internationalmaritime trade, countering maritime piracy and terrorism, exchanginginformation regarding rescue operations and operational and tacticalexperience.
