KARACHI – PPP Co Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari is likely to be deseatedfrom the National Assembly as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) hasaccepted the plea seeking disqualification of former president Asif AliZardari for preliminary hearing.
The plea will be fixed for hearing soon. The stance of both parties will belistened after hearing the arguments.
Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had submitted an application tothe Sindh Election Commission, seeking disqualification of PPP co-chairmanAsif Zardari.
It stated that Asif Zardari had not mentioned his flat in the US in hisassets. “After concealing the assets, Asif Zardari has not remained ‘Sadiq’and ‘Amin’,” it said.
