Pakistan foreign minister hold talks with British counterpart in New York

NEW YORK – Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held talks withhis British counterpart Jeremy Hunt on the sidelines of the UN GeneralAssembly session in New York.

During the meeting, both sides stressed enhanced cooperation between twocountries in diverse areas such as trade, investment, education anddevelopment. Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed the British Foreign Secretary onrelations with Afghanistan and grave human rights violations beingcommitted by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

He said Pakistan will continue to support the structured bilateralengagement plan through five working groups of Afghanistan Pakistan ActionPlan for Peace and Solidarity to address all matters of mutual interest.

The British Foreign Secretary extended invitation to Shah Mahmood Qureshito visit UK.
