KABUL – The US forces based in Afghanistan carried out airstrikes onTaliban and ISIS hideouts in Nangarhar province using the unmanned aerialvehicles, the military and police officials said.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said at leastthree Taliban insurgents were killed in the drone strike in Kkochiano areain Bati Kot district.
The source further added that another militant was wounded and a Dshk heavymachine was destroyed in the airstrike.
This comes as the provincial government said Wednesday that five ISISmilitants were killed or wounded during a similar airstrike in Achindistrict.
