ISLAMABAD – China has agreed to cooperate with Pakistan in aviation sectorparticularly for the betterment of Pakistan International Airlines.
The consensus on the collaboration was reached at a meeting between ChineseAmbassador to Pakistan Yao Jing and Advisor to Prime Minister on AviationSardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan during a meeting in Islamabad.
It was mutually decided to extend the cooperation for the development ofairport projects and enhancement of air travel facilities in view ofphenomenal growth of business opportunities between the two countries.
Sardar Mehtab Ahmed appreciated the Chinese cooperation for theconstruction and development of Gwadar Airport project.
Both sides also discussed technical cooperation in the field of aviationparticularly development of new maintenance, repair and overhaul facilityto provide aircraft maintenance and engineering services to Pakistani andregional airlines.
Advisor to Prime Minister also sought cooperation of china for upgrading ofearly warning system to improve weather forecasting system.
