HELMAND- A car bomber detonated his explosives at a check post in Nad Alidistrict after security forces opened fire on him.
At least six security force members were wounded when a suicide bomber in aToyota Corolla detonated his explosives in Helmand province on Saturday,local officials said.
According to Omar Zwak, the provincial governor’s spokesman, the incidentoccurred at around 11:30 am when a suicide car bomber tried to enter anarmy base in Qari Posta in Nad Ali district.
He was spotted by security forces who opened fire on him. However he stillmanaged to detonate his explosives.
Four army soldiers and two police soldiers were wounded in the blast, Zwaksaid.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
