ISLAMABAD – Khalid Mushtaq Motors (Pvt). Ltd has inked an understandingwith the Chongqing Changan Kuayue Automobile Company in China, which is aJV of Chinese giant Changan Auto and Kuayue Group.
In the first stage, they will be introducing the Mushtaq KY10, a 1.5-tonpickup truck and Mushtaq V5, a 7-seater passenger van. The company has beengiven the green light under the Automobile Development Policy 2016-2021.*Mushtaq KY10*
The KY10 is a single cabin pickup truck that boasts a DK15-07 VVT Euro IV1.5L petrol engine that churns out 110 horsepower. It features disc brakesat the front and drum brakes at the back and can carry up to 1.5 tons. Forpassenger security and safety, the cargo body is separate from the drivingbody with a length of 9.2 feet.
The KY10 is loaded with features including power steering, LED daytimerunning lights, power windows and riveted chassis. Interestingly, A/C andcentral locking are reportedly optional features.
