LAHORE – Massive crackdown against encroachment in Lahore in next 24 hourson orders of Lahore High Court (LHC).
LHC on Monday has directed to end illegal settlements on Lahore’s MallRoad, Shah Alam Market and adjoining areas of Data Darbar with immediateeffect.
Hearing petition filed by a citizen against illegal encroachments, JusticeAli Akbar Qureshi has directed town administration to end encroachmentswithin 24 hours.
As the hearing went underway, Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saleh Saeedappeared before the court. LHC ordered DC to launch indiscriminateantia-encroachment drive and implement orders of the court in true letterand spirits.
