ISLAMABAD – Government and the Opposition reach a ‘DEAL’ over the so calledAzadi March.The Government’s negotiation committee and the Rahbar Committeehave come to an agreement on the avenue for JUI-F’s Azadi March which willnow be held at the ground near Sunday Bazaar.
The head of the government’s committee, Pervez Khattak, told the media thathe was happy at the two committees reaching an agreement.
“According to the terms of the agreement, JUI-F will hold their jalsa nearthe Sunday Bazaar in sector H-9.” According to the Defense Minister, theRahbar Committee has agreed to not come to D-Chowk.
“Akram Durrani has assured us that they will not enter the Red Zone.” Hefurther clarified that the government will not pplace obstacles on theroads, all routes will be open.
The agreement was signed by JUI-F’s General Secretary Mufti Abdullah, andthe Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. According to details, the jalsa will beheld at Metro Depot in H-9 near the Sunday Bazaar. The government will notplace hindrances on the routes or in the delivery if food for theparticipants.
The participants of the Azadi March will not be allowed to hinder people’sbasic rights, and neither will they be allowed to illegaly venture out ofthe specified area. The internal security of the jalsa will be theresponsibility of the organizers.
