ANKARA – Turkey says it will not tolerate any human rights violation innortheast Syria.
This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu while speakingat a joint news conference with his German counterpart Heiko Maas in Ankaraon Saturday.
He said Turkey is providing humanitarian aid to civilians in the area but aGerman proposal for an international safe zone was unrealistic.
Turkey launched its cross-border offensive on 9th of October after U.S.President Donald Trump pulled out around 1,000 American troops who had beenin the area to help their Kurdish Ally to combat Islamic State militants.
Earlier, Germany’s defense minister presented to NATO a proposal for asecurity zone on Turkish-Syrian border.
