LAHORE – Over the sensitive issue of Rape and Kidnapping cases across theprovince, Lahore High Court issues important orders to the Punjab Police.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed immediate filing of kidnapping andrape cases.
The orders were issued while ordering an action against the Station HouseOfficers (SHOs) who will fail to do so. According to the details, LHCJustice Muhammad Qasim Khan heard the case against not getting the DNA ofthe abused woman tested in a timely manner. During the hearing, InspectorGeneral (IG) of Punjab Captain (r) Arif Nawaz also appeared before thecourt.
Justice Qasim Khan expressed his displeasure over the process of policeinvestigation and issued orders for action against SHOs on the destructionof evidence.
