ISLAMABAD – Arsalan Iftikhar, son of former CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry is likelyto be arrested after the son-in-law of former chief justice IftikharChaudhry was arrested from Dubai.
He was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Eden Housing Societyscam, confirmed Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday.
Chaudhry, terming the arrest a major breakthrough, said the FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA) apprehended Dr Murtaza Amjad. The case alsoinvolves former CJP’s son Arsalan Iftikhar.
The arrest comes days after affectees of the housing society staged aprotest outside Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Lahore residence. They urgedthe premier to help recover millions allegedly looted by the group thatlaunched the residential scheme. The premier also sought a detailed reportin this regard, added the information minister.
