BEIJING – Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesperson Hua Chunying has said thenewly-constructed Sukkur-Multan Motorway would be very important toeconomic and social development in Pakistan.
Responding a question raised by APP during a regular briefing in Beijing onThursday, she said 392-kilometer Sukkur-Multan motorway, which is known asM5, is part of the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway and was completed two weeksahead of contract due date.
The spokesperson said newly constructed motorway is the biggest transportinfrastructure project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and oneof the early harvest projects.
Terming the CPEC an exemplary project of practical cooperation between thetwo neighboring countries and all-weather friends, she said China wouldlike to work with Pakistan to continue to advance the building of CPEC,enrich its essence, achieve high-quality development and bring morebenefits to our countries and people in the neighboring region.
