ISLAMABAD – Water and Power Development Authority has taken a giant leapforward for development of precious water resources by awarding thecontract worth Rs.183.523 billion for civil and electro-mechanical works ofMohmand Dam Project.
According to a statement released today (Tuesday), the contract was awardedto a Joint Venture comprising the China Gezhouba Group of Companies ofChina as the lead firm and DESCON of Pakistan as its partner.
Addressing the contract signing ceremony, WAPDA Chairman Retired Lt GenMuzammil Hussain said Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project will phenomenallycontribute towards water, food and energy security of Pakistan.
