ISLAMABAD – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s special message toPakistani PM Imran Khan during his stay in Kingdom.
Prime Minister Imran revealed that Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salmanasked him to mediate with Iran to defuse tensions.
He further said, “Trump asked me that if we could de-escalate the situationand maybe come up with another deal,” he said after meeting both Trump andIranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Before being asked by Trump, the premier said, during his stopover in SaudiArabia, Crown Prince Muhammad asked him to speak to the Iranian presidentto de-escalate tensions between the two countries.
Saudi Arabia has blamed Iran for attacks on its plants, which rattledinternational markets and exposed the kingdom’s vulnerability to attack.Iran has denied any involvement and vowed to retaliate against even alimited military aggression.
