RIYADH — In a major development for air travel between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal has announced the launch of new direct flight routes connecting key cities of both countries. Starting from August 24 to 26, Flyadeal will operate flights from Riyadh to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, and from Dammam to Karachi. The services will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with a frequency of two to three flights per week on each route.
This expansion marks Flyadeal’s entry into the Pakistan aviation market and is part of its broader international growth strategy. The most notable addition is the Riyadh–Sialkot route, which restores direct air connectivity between the two cities and makes Flyadeal the only airline currently operating nonstop flights on this path.
With Pakistan being home to a significant expatriate population in Saudi Arabia, these new routes are expected to offer affordable and convenient travel options for both business and leisure travelers, as well as families. The airline, which is a subsidiary of Saudia Group, continues to expand its reach beyond domestic operations, positioning itself as a key player in the regional budget travel market.
Flyadeal has built a reputation for competitive pricing and punctual service, and the addition of Pakistan routes is expected to increase travel options while easing congestion on existing carriers. The move is also seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two brotherly nations.
