A letter written to ECP by PML-N leader Mushahid Hussain maintained thatlong queues have been witnessed outside polling station while the votingprocess is quite slow.

“The PML-N is making this demand under Section 70 of the Elections Act2017, which authorises ECP to ‘extend polling hours already fixed’,” readthe letter.——————————

Citing “large-scale nationwide complaints”, the letter added that only “3-4people” are being allowed to enter the polling station at one time, slowingdown the process. “This is not only causing inconvenience to voters […]but may also end up depriving people from their right of vote.”

People will be able to cast their votes until 6pm, as per the deadlineannounced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
