ISLAMABAD – With the aim to revive tourism, the government will beintroducing new visa policy, in which 50 countries will be given visas onarrival, whereas, e-visas will be provided to 175 countries.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry speaking to the media on Friday,announced that in this new policy introduced by the government, 50countries will be given visas on arrival, whereas, e-visas will be providedto 175 countries.
Chaudhry said that Indian origin American and British citizens will also begiven visas on arrival. He further said that business visa will be providedto 96 countries, instead of 68 countries. He said, “The business visas willbe stamped in eight to ten days.”
The minister continued that tourists no longer have to obtain any NOC andcan now visit all parts of the country including open cantonments, AzadKashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Talking about journalist visas, Chaudhry saidthat they will be given long term visas without any restriction, localmedia reported.
He said that journalist visas will be processed through the Ministry ofInformation and Broadcasting.
