*Huq has said that the nepotism criticism that he was barraged with beingthe nephew of Pakistan former captain and current chief selector Inzamam ulHaq, ‘pissed’ him off.*
“To be honest, it is very hurtful, as a youngster you come intointernational cricket with a lot of expectations from your family, and Ihad a great first class season but this kind of criticism is very hurtful.”
“I won’t lie but this kind of criticism really pissed me off,” said Imam,quoted *ESPNcricinfo*.
Since making his international debut back in 2017, Imam has seen a lot ofsuccess in One Day Internationals (ODIs), with four centuries including aton on debut and three fifties in just 16 ODIs and an average of over 60,the 22 years old has managed to cement his place in 50-overs side. However,the youngster has yet to see similar success in Test cricket.
