*ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Human Rights has taken a new initiative forthe Pakistani women community.*
*Ministry has launched a help line – 1099 – to assist women about thereligious and legal protection and right to inheritance.*
Muhammad Khawaja, an official of the ministry said that Federal Minister DrShireen Mazari was committed to providing women equal rights in federal andat provincial levels, this help line would further guide the woman abouttheir share in property according to Islamic law and country’s law.
He said that the protection of women’s right to inheritance has been one ofthe priorities of incumbent government for equality and justice in thecountry.

He further said that under the campaign by ministry for women rights toinheritance, the awareness will be given for women share in property underthe Islamic Jurisprudence and Constitution.
He highlighted social, cultural issues restricting women to get their dueshare in inherited property, so government is fully devoted to providewomen speedy justice.
