*RAWALPINDI – The Pakistan Army on Friday has made several top leveltransfers and posting.*
*Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza has been posted as the Chief of GeneralStaff in a major reshuffle in the army hierarchy, as reported by InterServices Public Relations (ISPR).*
The media wing of the armed forces notified that General Raza has replacedLieutenant General Bilal Akbar who has been appointed as CommanderRawalpindi Corps (10th Corps).
Furthermore, ISPR announced on its website that Lieutenant General MuhammadNaeem Ashraf has been appointed Commander Multan Corps, Lieutenant GeneralHumayun Aziz has been posted as Commander Karachi Corps (5th Corps),Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza has been posted as the inspectorgeneral for communications and information technology and LieutenantGeneral Abdullah Dogar as the chairman of the Heavy Industries Taxila.
It is pertinent to mention here that previously Lieutenant General HumayunAziz was the inspector general of communications and informationtechnology, whereas Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza was serving asCorps Commander of Karachi.
Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar was the Chief of General Staff andLieutenant General Abdullah Dogar was Corps Commander of Multan before theannouncement of the new postings.
