SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman,Syed Ali Gilani, has urged global human rights watchdogs to come to rescueof the Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails.
In a statment in Sringar, expressing serious concern over the patheticconditions of jails in and outside the territory, he said that thesehelpless prisoners are facing inhuman and ill treatment, were unlawfullyand unnecessarily shifted to jails in other parts for harassment.
The APHC Chairman said slow pace of court proceedings and the criminalsilence of the champions of the human rights had added to their miseries.
