LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday took asuo motu notice regarding 22 encroachments in various parts of the city.
The Supreme Court (SC) directed Lahore Development Authority (LDA)Director-General (DG) Amna Imran Khan to submit a report regarding thematter and illegally occupied lands in the city.
The apex court also summoned 22 individuals who have allegedly illegallyoccupied LDA land.
LDA DG Khan said that various pieces of land in Faisal Town and Libertyamong other areas had been illegally occupied.
The LDA DG also said that after the authority conducted an operationagainst the encroachers, the latter filed a petition in court.
