*RAWALPINDI: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS),inaugurated the National University of Technology (NUTECH) on Wednesday,Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported.*
The Rector, Lieutenant General Khalid Asghar (Retired) briefed the COASabout academic activities and strategic education plan of the university,as per the press release issued by ISPR.
General Bajwa lauded the role and handwork of NUTECH management insuccessful launch of the university in short span of two years and advisedto maintain high standards of education at the university
He also appreciated the concept of NUTECH being “University for Industry”.

The military’s media wing, ISPR, further said, as NUTECH envisions tocreate leaders of character for industry and skilled workforce for economicdevelopment of Pakistan, COAS appreciated effective creation ofuniversity-industry linkages. He assured full support to NUTECH in buildingits future main campus on the outskirts of Rawalpindi/ Islamabad which willaccommodate 30,000-50,000 students.
