JALALABAD – Nine Daesh militants were killed in US drone strikes in easternNangarhar and Kunar bordering Pakistan, a military official said on Friday.
Afghan National Army’s 201 Selab Military Corps spokesman Col. Sherin AqaFaqiri told Pajhwok Afghan News that the US drone fired missiles into aDaesh hideout in Haska Mena district on Thursday, killing eight suspects.
In neighboring Kunar province, a Daesh commander Abdul Haq was killed in adrone strike in Sawkai district, according to Col. Faqiri, who said thestrike took place in Serai area.
