A major boost for revival of international cricket in Pakistan

*ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Thursday that theWindies women’s cricket team will be visiting Karachi later this month.*

The Windies women’s cricket team will play three Twenty20 Internationals inKarachi in the build-up to the ICC Women’s Championship fourth roundfixture. The three T20Is will be played on January 31, February 1 andFebruary 3 at the Southend Club.

Following these matches, the two sides will go head-to-head in three ODIsin Dubai on February 7, 9 and 11. The first ODI will be played at the DubaiInternational Cricket Stadium, while the second and third ODIs will beplayed at the ICC Academy.

“The visit of the West Indies women’s team to Karachi is great news notonly for Pakistan cricket but for women’s cricket in general. We arethankful to Cricket West Indies and their players for trusting the PCB andagreeing to play three T20Is in Karachi,” PCB Chief Operating OfficerSubhan Ahmad said, stated *PCB*.

“The decision of Cricket West Indies endorses our position that Pakistan isas safe and secure as any other country. On behalf of the PCB, I would liketo say that we are confident that this tour will go a long way in thecomplete revival of international cricket in Pakistan,” he added.
