RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad underwent surgeryon Wednesday after he was diagnosed with appendix.
The opposition politician was taken to a private hospital in Rawalpindifollowing complaints of severe pain in his abdomen. Sheikh Rashid laterunderwent a successful surgery of appendix.
It was not clear if the lawmaker went under the knife on governmentexpenses as the MNA from Rawalpindi has not resigned despite a publicannouncement last week.
