PESHAWAR- A thanksgiving rally was held in Bajaur Agency in connection withthe approval of the legislation to extend jurisdiction of the Supreme Courtof Pakistan and Peshawar High Court to FATA by the federal government.
A large number people attended the rally held in Pashat area of Salarzaitehsil.
Speakers addressing the rally appreciated the federal government forapproving the FATA reforms and termed the approval of the legislation ahistoric step towards provision of basic rights to the people of tribalareas.
The speakers said that approval of the legislation would not only help thetribesmen get speedy justice, but also improve the socio-economic situationof the tribal areas.
They said that approval of the Fata reforms bill has proved that thefederal government is committed to fulfill its commitment to bring positivechanges in the tribal areas.
