SRINAGAR: Indian officials and Indian media is ignited overDukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi observing Pakistan National Day inSrinagar on Friday.
During the event, Asiya Andrabi said ‘all Muslims in the sub-continent arePakistanis’. “Every Muslim in the sub-continent is a Pakistani on the basisof Islam, Iman (faith), Quran and love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” shesaid.
During the event, she along with her supporters also sang Pakistan’snational anthem. The event was held at an undisclosed location in Srinagar.As per some videos of the programme, Andrabi can be seen singing praises ofPakistan.
Pakistan celebrates March 23 every year as its Republic Day to commemoratethe adoption of the first constitution in 1956. It is celebrating its 78thPakistan Day on Friday with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena asthe guest of honour at parade at Shakarparian.
This is not the first time that Andrabi has supported Pakistan. She washeard saying anti-India comments and were seen to be harming Indianinterests in Kashmir. She was even heard in a video saying that shesupported the act of her ‘so called’ brother Hafeez Saeed
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had also in the past termedDukhtaran-e-Millat, an all-woman outfit based in Kashmir, as a “terrorist”organisation. The NIA made the decision after the outfit openly supported26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermid terrorist Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on severalocassions.
Last year, she was seen on a poster of a government campaign – ‘BetiBachao, Beti Padhao’ alongside Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister MehboobaMufti and others leading to a controversy.
