ISLAMABAD – Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says Pakistanwelcomes the opening of Kartarpur border.
Talking to media in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said the step willbenefit the Sikh community as it is birth place of Baba Guru Nanak.
The Minister said Pakistan had given this suggestion because of its desirefor peace.
He said Pakistan wants peace with both India and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile in a tweet message, Information Minister said Indian Cabinet’sendorsement of Pakistan’s proposition on opening of Kartarpur Border is astep in right direction.
He said it will encourage the voice of reasons on both sides of the border.
