ISLAMABAD – Electricity Prices have been raised in Pakistan yet again.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursdayapproved a hike of 47 paisa per unit in the tariff of all powerdistribution companies, except for K-Electric, on account of fuel costadjustment for November 2018.
The increase came after the cost of fuel went up in November while powerconsumers paid lower tariffs. The tariff revision would help recover thelost amount, the regulator said.
According to the notification, the tariff increase will not be charged tolifeline, K-Electric and agricultural consumers.
