Captain (R) Safdar faces the heat, devoid of any class in Jail

LAHORE – A local court sent Capt (retd) Safdar to jail for 14 days formaking a provocative speech on Tuesday.

The court rejected the police request for the physical remand of theaccused.

Meanwhile, Capt (retd) Safdar has submitted an application, through hiscounsel Farhad Ali Shah, for bail.

The counsel stated that the arrest of his client is illegal. “According tothe allegations leveled by the police, the case does not come under thePunjab police. The police have leveled the allegation of an anti-governmentvideo that went viral. It is a cyber crime case,” he said.

He demanded that his client should be released after declaring his arrestnull and void. Sources said that Capt (retd) Safdar would not be given thefacility of any class.
