Oil and Gas exploration in Pakistan: Federal government takes important decisions

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has chaired energy task-force meetingin which he was briefed about a comprehensive energy policy being devisedkeeping in view energy requirements for next 25 years.

The Prime Minister directed to take immediate steps to decrease additionalburden on consumers.

The consumers must not pay the price for those involved in power pilferage.

The Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed that a special task-force hasbeen formed by Punjab Government to check power pilferage.

It was told that technology being utilized to improve electricitydistribution system.

The meeting decided to focus on Oil and Gas exploration and to conductseismic surveys through OGDCL to expedite exploration of Oil and Gas.
