ISLAMABAD – Pakistan National Hockey team coach Roelant Oltmans has taken asurprise decision.
The head coach has decided to step down from his position.
He revelaed that he has not been given the desired environment to work withthe team.
The Dutchman took the blame of Pakistan team’s unimpressive run in therecent times on himself.
“I’m responsible for the performance and results of the team,” Oltman wrotein the letter to the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
“I feel that the circumstances at present do not create an environmentwhere we can get the best out of the team,” he added.
Pakistan hockey team did not do well during Champions Trophy where theyfinished at the last position in the six-team tournament.
