KARACHI – A video of a head constable in Sindh police, who was recentlyshot dead in a robbery attempt, emerged online with a message tonewly-elected Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Among other segments of society, the police officers had also attachedhopes with the new government which held reins of the country after baggingvictory in the July 25 elections.
Martyred Head Constable Muhammad Imran in a video, which went viral onsocial media, requested the new prime minister to revise the salaries ofSindh police officials.
Highlighting the plight of the Sindh police, he added that the salaries ofsecurity officials were comparatively low than the police in othersprovinces including Punjab.
The police head constable was killed and one person was injured forresistance during a robbery in the Karimabad area of Karachi during the weehours of Sunday. The incident took place near APWA girls Collage inKarimabad area.
The robbers were trying to loot a shop when the head-constable, MuhammadImran -son of Qasim – posted at Sharifabad police station, resisted againstthe robbers and he was shot dead. While, Javed Ali, son of Abdul Majeed,was critically injured.
