ISLAMABAD – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) onWednesday approved an increase of Rs 1.27 per unit in electricity prices.
A summary in this regard has been sent to the federal government to issuenotification. Sources said that the increase in power tariff will put aburden of Rs 226 billion on consumers.
According to NEPRA sources, Uniform Tariff will be charged from theconsumers for a period of twelve months. The Uniform Tariff will alsoinclude subsidy.
