NEW DELHI – The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) have rejected therequest of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) to include their players inIndian’s domestic cricket.
BCCI on Friday confirmed that the ACB requested them to allow their playersto play in India’s domestic cricket which they turned down. The board’sCommittee of Administrators (CoA) in collaboration with its membersreleased a statement which said that it is impossible to allow Afghaniplayers to play in their domestic cricket.
“We can’t allow Afghanistan’s player to play in our domestic cricket,” thestatement read.
Earlier, the ACB also requested the BCCI to allow them a venue to conductAfghanistan Premier League (APL). The BCCI, in return, put the matter inpending and will decide it after securing the status of their domesticcricket schedule.
