RIYADH – Yemeni army soldiers have managed to shoot down a Saudi unmannedaerial vehicle (UAV) as it was on an espionage mission in Yemen’snorthwestern province of Hajjah.
According to Saba news agency, the Saudi drone was shot down as it wasflying in the skies over Hirz district on Sunday.
Saudi Arabia has been leading an invasion of Yemen from the air, land, andsea since March 2015 in an attempt to reinstate former president Abd RabbuhMansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh, and to undermine the HouthiAnsarullah movement.
Over the past two years, Houthis have been running state affairs.
