QUETTA The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has recovered huge cacheseized a large cache of weapons and ammunition in Kili Barat area of Quetta.
As per details, CTD conducted a raid in collaboration with law enforcementagencies and seized weapons, explosives and suicide jackets from a house.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the raid was carried out on a tip-off fromarrested terrorists belonging to a banned outfit.
No arrests have been made yet, he added.
Last week, security forces gunned down five suicide bombers as they foileda major terrorist attack at the Frontier Corps Help Centre in Quetta.
The Inter-Services Public Relations, in a statement, said, “An explosiveand ammunition laden vehicle with 5 SBs (suicide bombers) tried to enterHelp centre. Vigilant FC soldiers fired at terrorists and stopped theirentry. All terrorists killed.”
“All SBs apparently Afghani. Failed terrorists attempt was response tokilling of their key terrorists last night in Kili Almas,” the statementadded.
Four Frontier Corps personnel suffered bullet wounds in the exchange offire during the operation.
