ISLAMABAD – PM Imran Khan receives Malaysian PM at NurKhan Base Islamabad.
Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, had arrived in Islamabad on athree-day visit.
Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed Mahathir Mohamad after he landed inPakistan. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Khusro Bakhtiar and otherministers were also present on the occasion.
The Malaysian prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegationincluding several leading businessmen.
During his stay, Mahathir Mohamad will be the guest of honour at thePakistan Day Parade on 23rd March.
The Malaysian prime minister’s bilateral engagements also include meetingwith President Arif Alvi and one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister ImranKhan followed by delegation level talks.
The two premiers will also speak at the round-table meeting of the CEOs ofindustries, who desire to invest in automobile and telecommunicationsectors of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal, in a statementsaid the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister will further cement theexisting brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries.
Mohamad was formally invited on Nov 29, 2018 by Pakistan to visit thecountry. Pakistani High Commissioner Nafees Zakaria met the dignitary anddelivered an invitation to the Malaysian PM on behalf of the country.
